The History of
Ranchos de Caballos

It takes a lot to turn a wide open pasture into an opportunity such as Ranchos de Caballos—a lot of foresight, a lot of effort, and a lot of commitment. The history of Ranchos de Caballos is a unique story of entrepreneurial effort and creative vision, while preserving the heritage of the ranching community surrounding it that dates back over a century.
Originally envisioned as an equestrian community, the property has been entitled to allow for up to 54 home sites. In fact, when it was approved by the back in 2009, it was the deemed the last new subdivision to be allowed in Lincoln County. The utlitiy lines and roads are built to service the first Phase of the planned project (where the first two homes have been built), as well as the outdoor arena.
It's a fascinating and engaging story, with personalities and people whose freewheeling styles and willingness to take risks created one of the Southwest's premier recreational ranching properties.
